Thanks for your feedback, sorry to hear you haven't had a good experience. In relation to the lift, this was taken out of service by the lift maintenance contractors as a repair was required. This information was communicated back to leaseholders via email and SMS to update accordingly. Updates throughout the process have been sent also. The Residents Association for this block was updated on 8th April following the engineer report, this determined a significant repair was required for the compensating chains and guides for the lift. A second quote was obtained to ensure competitive pricing. Following this the repair was instructed on 15th April, and the works began on 20th April. During this time it was recognised that the full scope of repairs were not required and the engineer was able to address the underlying fault, ultimately resulting in a saving towards service charge costs. The lift was returned back into service on 22nd April and correspondence sent to leaseholder to confirm. With regards to repairs of such costs, it is imperative we obtain a second opinion and ensure competitive quotations. We also must rely on the advice of lift specialist and requirements to take place in order to ensure the lift is safely put back into service. We take on board your comments and the Property Manager has also reached out directly to ensure any remaining queries are answered for you.
