The distance to Vagliagli is precise and correct, but what we have done is add a note to our description stating that the return journey is all up hill and takes a lot more that walking into the village. The roads are public roads and are maintained but the Local council, the owners as those living there do their best by pestering the local council but after a storm it can take a few weeks before any work can be carried out. The cleaners have been reprimanded over the sock, totally unacceptable. Villa Cignano has quite a special location, the road is a bit long and bumpy as all the roads in the area but the views, the garden and the pool as the old stone building really make it worth it. We always share our feedback with the owners and managers, the pool lights shall be checked as the advice of a better clean on the saturday. There i always room for improvement. Thank you for feedback on Villa Cignano. its a great home, with very special views. The caretakers are a local mother and daughter and do a great job in managing the house and grounds as our clients. The owners have been trying to convince them to improve their english but they just smile and say that they just do fine with our clients. Thats tuscans for you, pragmatic and to the point. I am sorry about te water supply, it has not rained here for nearly 6 months, great to see that between TN&M and Nuziatina and her daughter the problem was resolved very quickly. All the roads in the area east of Siena are unpaved roads, maintained by the local authorities and they have no intention of paving them. They say that its healthier for nature and it slows the traffic down. Also saves lots of money and as long as you take your time, and watch out for the bumps and dust, its even fun.  If you decide to return to Villa Cignano o another of our properties in the future we do offer a 5% price reduction to all our returning clients. Everyone is bowled over by those views as you walk round from the parking area to the front of the house. They are as you say, amazing.
