'A fantastic 22 year old edition of whisky from Knockdhu Distillery (aka anCnoc), bottled at 46% with no colouring or chill filtration. This expression is from a mix of American ex-bourbon casks and Spanish ex-oloroso butts, which adds a bit of Highland smokiness to anCnoc's traditionally soft style.Plenty aromas of spicy old oak, apple crumble, sugared almonds, with fruitcake notes. This develops into toasted oak, followed by the fruit and chocolate coming through mid-palate. A slight dryness on the finish, with earthiness and woodspices.'
