The floral, herbal sweet woody scent of Lavender combines beautifully with the fruity, citrusy slightly spicey tones of Bergamot to give an elegant twist on just a traditional Lavender. It has certainly been a firm favourite and a go to for many of our returning customers since day one. The essential oils of Lavender and Bergamot were primarily selected for their healing properties, in so far as they are both useful in helping soothe skin conditions such as Eczema and Psoriasis. <a>Lavender Essential Oil</a> is known for its calming and soothing properties, which can help to reduce inflammation and irritation. It is also a powerful antiseptic that can help to disinfect and heal wounds. <a>Bergamot Essential Oil</a> is a natural antifungal and antibacterial agent, making it perfect for treating skin conditions like Eczema or Psoriasis. When combined, these two essential oils create a soap that is perfect for healing and soothing dry, itchy skin. Our Lavender and Bergamot Goat Milk Soap contains No Parabens, No Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) and No added colour. <h2><strong>Why Goats Milk?</strong></h2> Goats Milk is full of vitamins and minerals which help keep the skin in optimum condition. Vitamin A (Retinol) works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating the production of collagen. It contains Vitamin K which helps brighten the skin and improve elasticity and which also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, counteracting both inflammation and free radicals. Goats Milk contains alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) which helps remove dead skin cells leaving new cells that are smoother so giving a brighter appearance and because it is a natural moisturiser, it can help prevent the skin from drying out. Zinc and Selenium are also present in Goats Milk which again are anti-oxidants helping in the fight to protect skin from free radicals. <h2><strong>What are Free Radicals?</strong></h2> Free radicals can be formed either naturally in the body through normal processes or from outside elements such as cigarette smoke, exhaust fumes, radiation, and chemicals. Shea Butter is also known to help reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks. <h3><strong>Why use our Goat Milk Soap?</strong></h3> All our soaps are made by hand in small batches here on the farm, we use carefully selected ingredients which we combine with raw Goats Milk from our own small herd of happy goats. We do not reduce the milks efficacy by diluting it with water, nor do we use a cheaper powdered alternative. Our ladies are family pets, they all have names and we give them the best possible life we can. When they retire from milking they stay with the herd and tend to stay in their family groups keeping an eye on the grand ‘ kids’.
