With a high powered 2w LED as its light source it is designed for over 50,000 hours of reading. Either mains powered (5v) or powered through a USB. It is child safe and tested to exceed BS EN 60 598.

Great light but hopefully this one lasts longer than 1 year or they develop replacement parts you can purchase.
