The happiness and welfare of every customer is a priority and we want everyone to fully enjoy their chosen holiday, so I am sorry to hear that you felt let down during your time on tour.
In our brochure and on our website we advertise the planned itinerary, so guests are aware of the places they will or can visit each day and what is included in the cost. We do explain that some excursions are optional and are at an additional cost. Prior to your departure we do send a detailed itinerary stating the cost of each optional excursion so our guests may decide which to join before they travel.
It’s important for me to assure you that we carefully select and monitor all of the accommodation that we choose for our tours, considering various factors such as cost, your comfort and the ease of operating the tour itinerary. The Sonnschein Hotel has featured in our tour programme for many years and is an ideal base for us to operate this particular tour. It is positioned in a great location and has served us well, so we had no concerns before you travelled that any problems would be faced.
I must assure you that we only ever expect our guests to receive rooms which are clean have been prepared for their arrival and are well maintained. I am truly sorry that you personally found your allocated room to be tired and in need of refurbishment. We always recommend that if you are unhappy with any aspect of your room that you mention this to a member of staff or your coach crew, so we have the opportunity to make improvements for you, or offer you an alternative room, if available.
When food is served as a buffet we do expect staff to replenish items in a timely manner until the end of service, so it is disappointing to learn of your comments. Whilst we have not had any issues previously I have passed on your comments to our Hotels team so that may we liaise with the hotelier for improvements to be made in this regard.
I do hope that overall you found the tour to be a worthwhile experience, and you returned with some fond memories of the scenic places you visited that you can share with family or friends.
