Thank you for your feedback. While its nice to give them extra care at this time, these plants would be heading into a natural period of dormancy and not be looking its best. Your plant would be dying back and putting its energy into its roots ready for next year, you should therefore notice the difference in spring. The clematis were on offer so you dont choose what you get but are assured all will be good quality. One had lost all top growth and had only some enew growth at ground level others had more top growt
