Thanks for getting in touch about your recent purchase of our Award Winners box, I’m sorry to hear you weren’t delighted with the choice. It’s been one of our most popular products since we started Best of British Beer back in 2011 and currently has a 4.9/5 rating on FEEFO.
The contents of this box changes regularly as the stock comes in and goes out of the warehouse, so I don’t know which particular beers you were sent. All the bottles should say on the label which awards they’ve won, if this is not displayed, the accompanying sheet should inform you of their credentials.
We will always try and choose a good range of beers to cover different strengths, styles, colours and geographical variance. The awards they have won will have nothing to do with us, but will have been nominated by tasters at CAMRA, Great Taste, World Beer Awards, Taste of the West etc.
It might be that your preferred beer styles weren’t represented in the case. In that case, a box of e.g. IPAs, dark beers or lagers might have been more suitable.
If you can give me some names of beers that you really enjoy, I will send you a few of the bottles/cans I think should be award winners.
