We are sorry that your parcel has not arrived. I have investigated its whereabouts using the tracking number that would have been sent to you via email upon completion of the the order on the 16th December. I can see that it was out for delivery with the driver on the 17th December, and was then 'Awaiting collection as requested by recipient'. I can also see that it has been scheduled for delivery on the 24th December and 31st December. The most likely reason that this has occurred is because the delivery driver could not get an answer at the delivery address. This is why we recommend that customers who have paid for DHL shipping leave a signed and dated note to advise and give permission for the DHL delivery driver to leave the parcel somewhere secure if the recipient is out. Unfortunately once the parcel is out for delivery we cannot contact the delivery driver, as much a we would like to at times. As we ship many perishable products which need to arrive within 24 hours, and many heavy products which cannot be carried by Royal Mail, our delivery costs are calculated by an algorithm which seeks to ensure that the correct delivery cost is applied to every order. We are however always happy to rectify the situation when a customer is offered an incorrect shipping fee. We hope that you really enjoyed your dried mushrooms, cheese toast and foie gras. Thank you for taking the time to tell us that you found our Baby Artichokes delicious, and I am sorry to hear that you were frustrated by the increase in delivery cost for 2 bunches. You are exactly right that Royal Mail will ship items up to 2KG, but when factoring the box and the weight of 2 bunches of Artichokes the weight goes over 2KG meaning that it can no longer be shipped for £3.99. I did try to contact you after speaking to DHL to find out where your parcel was, but the phone was engaged. I did not try to call again because after monitoring the progress of the parcel I could see that it had arrived with you, and had been signed for by you. I felt the issue had been resolved with the delivery of your parcel, please accept my apologies if you felt that you were neglected in any way.
