The problem was with the extending portion of the stick as had a burr somewhere within so had to twist it a lot to extend it which scored the inner with a bit of sanding it now works better but still

We are sorry to hear this. We are sure that this is an isolated instance as we have had no reports of this previously and all the ones tested are fine. We would of course be happy to replace this should you wish to return it.
