Hi, Thank you for your review and for pointing this out. You are correct that a painted finish will not last as long as galvanised. The WB23 you purchased is the painted version, but we do also offer the WB23G, which is a galvanised version of the same bracket for longer-term durability. It is a little more expensive, but designed for exactly the reasons you've mentioned. The painted brackets are currently being sold as clearance items as we transition to offering only galvanised versions.
