I want to assure you that both skeins and balls are suitable forms for knitting or crocheting, and it ultimately comes down to personal preference. One of the great things about yarn is no matter which style you prefer you can always wind it into that shape. Many knitters find the act of winding yarn into balls or skeins to be almost meditative. We also recognize that untangling yarn can be a frustrating experience, and we regret any additional stress it may have caused.
