Sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experiences in relation to our medical screening team. If a customer has got a pre-existing medical condition, then we do require them to have a conversation with our dedicated Traveller’s Healthcheck Team who can then let you know if they are able to offer cover for problems relating to the pre-existing medical condition, and also the additional cost (if any) to extend the standard policy benefits. The cost quoted by the Medical Screening team (which is operated by our Underwriters) generally reflects the severity of the condition, and other risk factors. It is important for the Medical Screening team to ask relevant questions every time you take a policy out, so they have an accurate and up-to-date picture of your current health, so that potential problems can be avoided in a Claims situation. We are sorry that your experience on this occasion was not a positive one, thank you for your feedback. We will pass on your concerns to our Underwriters at our next meeting.
