Hi Daman, Thanks for your review. It's a shame to hear you're unhappy with your mat. As mentioned on our website, when new and before weathering, Cape Cod mats have a surface sheen. During this time, we recommend you place securely on a non-slip and non-polished surface to aid slip resistance. Sadly, I can't find any details that this issue has been raised to us prior to this review.
