Nylon tip extends (like a propelling pencil). Clean grime from inaccessible places. I keep one with my electrical meter to clean electrical contacts (very often expensive equipment has 'failed' merely because the batteries no longer make contact).

The scratch brush works well! Cleaned a number of contacts already. My wife found it useful for working on her silversmith finishes. Very useful tool!
