Summary Special clearance price while stocks last (once sold, there are no more) Model is Waltex 7562 If you really can't decide which strength of loupe to choose, here is one with a choice. Turn the black centre, and two lenses appear. But that's not all. Turn the ribbed wheel on the side and the lenses change. This gives you a choice of eight different magnifications: 5X, 6X, 7X, 8X, 9X, 10X, 11X and 12X. Each lens is 25mm diameter. Read all about magnification and how to choose a magnifier, click here. There are also reviews of loupes, click here We have a calculator that shows you the working distance for any magnification, or the magnification for any working distance (Excel format), click here. Why? Q. This item is discontinued.  Why?  A. Becuase it’s part of a one-off "job lot", these will never be available again at this price...and/or they will never be available again at any price. Technical Magnification / lens size in mm: various X25mm (5X, 6X, 7X, 8X, 9X, 10X, 11X and 12X). Lens material: plastic Lens type: single Type: jewellers' loupe (large-pocket-size) Origin / brand: China Casing: plastic Presentation / extras: printed cardboard box Applications Generally, loupes are used by jewellers and antiques traders for looking at very small marks; by horologists and engineers for inspecting very small parts; by stamp and coin dealers; as a basic field instrument for biologists and geologists. Specifically, this gives the maximum flexibility, from 5X to 12X magnification, a good choice if you want it for many applications, e.g. for looking at tiny jewellery marks on a Tuesday, large furniture marks on furniture on a Thursday, and small print on forms on a Saturday. Also good if you really have no idea which magnification you require. Further info. Everything you need to know about magnifiers and magnification. See information about (and reviews of) loupes (small high-power folding jewellers' magnifiers). See information about (and reviews of) binocular (head-worn) magnifiers- especially the surgeons-type. See a guide to magnifiers for the partially-sighted. See loupes with UV lights. Products: see pocket microscopes and phone microscopes, click here. With most magnifiers* magnification and working distance are related. Download our Excel sheet, enter a magnification to see the resulting working distance, enter a working distance to see the resulting magnification. * excluding surgeons-type, digital & phone magnifiers, and microscopes. Bulk Orders Our returns policy (return any item you don't like, within 14 days) still applies, but if you return just some of a bulk order, and what you keep doesn't entitle you to the bulk discount, we will allow for this when issuing the refund / alternative items. Loupe with six different magnifications
So handy to have multiple magnifications at your fingertips. As focal length suffers at higher magnifications its best to only use the minimum value that shows you want you need to see.
