The ideal tool for grain setting Produces a perfectly rounded end Adjustable length Made from hardened steel Established in 1905, Busch are the leading manufacturers of precision cut tools and rotary accessories and pride themselves on maintaining high quality trend led developments. This No. 13 Grain Tool has been produced from a single piece of high quality hardened steel and is characterised by a stable design which provides a smooth and precise finish. They are used primarily in grain setting techniques to form a rounded bead from a pre-raised grain of metal on a jewellery item, and to push this bead gently over the edge of a stone to keep it secure. Grain tools can also be used to round the ends of claws on claw settings. These superior tools from Busch are designed with a filigreed edge to better protect gemstones and have a highly glossed concave inner surface which in turn gives a perfect finish to each bead. With an internal diameter of 0.90mm and an outer diameter of 2.6mm, this tool also has a predetermined point at which it can be shortened with pliers, if closer control is required. These tools range from No. 0 (0.25mm) to No.22 (1.35mm) increasing in increments of 0.05mm It is advised to replace your beading tool as it wears to keep your work at its highest possible quality.https://www.cooksongold.com/Jewellery-Tools/Busch-Grain-Tool-No.13-Steel-prcode-982-113?p=gs
