This 90 degree bearing cutter from Busch is precision made from isostatically compressed, fine grain carbide material. With excellent dimensional accuracy and cutting power, this range of carbide high-tech burrs is specially designed for working on hard jewellery metals such as platinum, titanium and white gold. Measuring 1.0mm at its` widest and tapering to a fine point, this shape burr can opens up a setting to allow for the wideness part of the girdle but then tapers in again to hold the gem securely in place. It has a full working head depth of 0.58mm. It is designed to be used in conjunction with a pendant drill, hobby drill, micromotor or even a pin vice such as 999 AKK or 999 332 to cut or grind away, shape or give pattern to a surface. Each burr`s construction consists of a number of teeth/blades (in a given shape) mounted onto a 2.34mm shank. The shank fits into the collet/chuck of the drill, and when turned these teeth cut into and remove the surface being worked upon. Quantity of material removed depends on pressure applied, use of `Burr Life lubricant` (998 021) helps prolong the burrs cutting ability.
