This Busch Burr 1 Round has been produced from a single piece of hardened steel and is characterised by a stable design which provides a precise power cut and optimum concentricity, ideal for preparing settings. Measuring 1.0mm at its` widest then rounding off to complete ball shape, this round burr opens the collet to allow for the wideness part the stone to sit in it but then tapers in again to hold the gem securely in place. This ball shaped drill is also perfect for drilling out claws on a claw setting where the girdle will sit keeping is secure and helping the claws to bend over it with ease. It has a full working head depth of 1.0mm. It is designed to be used in conjunction with a pendant drill, hobby drill, micromotor or even a pin vice such as 999 AKK or 999 332 to cut or grind away, shape or give pattern to a surface. Suitable to be used on metal, wax and plastics. Each burr`s construction consists of a number of teeth/blades (in a given shape) mounted onto a 2.34mm shank. The shank fits into the collet/chuck of the drill, and when turned these teeth cut into and remove the surface being worked upon.
