I can only apologise for this problem which unfortunately was caused by the increased vigilance of the credit card companies. We operate a deffered payment system meaning that we do not charge the card fully until we send the goods - this does mean though that an initial transaction for the sum of £1.00 is put through to validate the card before doing the full transaction. The card companies are using ever increasingly automated anti fraud software meaning that this system (which has been in place for some years) is now being flagged up as suspicious.To this end we have this morning instructed them to charge only the full amount when we actually charge the card. This should stop this unfortunate situation occurring in the future. I can only apologise for the problems inadvertantly caused and assure you that your experience has prompted us to take immediate remedial action to ensure that this does not happen to another customer.
