We use the Gemological Institute of America’s pearl grading system as this is perhaps the most recognised international grading standard and is the body that developed the 4Cs for diamonds. The GIA system goes beyond the AAA or AAAAA classification to describe individual value factors of the pearls and is the one that we are trained in. We disclose these grades for all our jewellery, together with the geographical origin of the pearls, in the Specifications tab on the product pages on our website. The pearls for the Classic White Freshwater Pearl Stud Earrings originate from China. We will give some more thought as to whether we provide certificates with each piece of jewellery. In the meantime, we are very happy to provide a letter confirming the GIA grading factors for the earrings that you have purchased and will send this by mail to you today.
