We do take great care with our packaging and pride ourselves on producing a quality product.The quick 'how to fit' video on our website is primarily for demonstration purposes for customers considering our blinds, to show you that all it requires is the mounting of brackets and then the cassette unit simply 'clicks' into place. We then send out a comprehensive step by step installation guide for you to follow once the blinds arrive. Of course each blind installation is different, larger blinds will be heavier and may require a second person to help install and for specialist cases like steel lintels, we are on hand to offer specific advice on drill bits and screw types. We do take your point about the cassette assembly; in the past we would send cassetted blinds out fully assembled for your convenience, but regrettably found that the end-caps were often damaged during transit and so we made the decision to send these separately with easy to follow instructions. Our batteries do come with some residual charge so you should not need to charge the prior to installation, and charging is a case of connecting them like a phone charger. However we have looked into your order and can confirm that the charging tails were indeed missing from your order. We really apologise for this. We have recently updated our motor range and it looks as though the automatic process was not working correctly.
