You were right to be cautious and do your research first, there are 100's of companies that claim to offer our service but homeowners often find that they turn out to be Brokers or Online Estate Agents. (This is commonly revealed at the very last second or after they have signed a contract!) We would always suggest looking at company accounts, if you cannot see large volumes of property being bought and sold on a regular basis ... it should raise some serious questions.
