Thanks for taking the time to give us some excellent feedback.  We are so pleased you like your lamp.  The Ellie Lamp is delivered in a packing box by the supplier to provide secure packaging to ensure the lamp doesn't get broken in transit (previously the base and lamp came loose and the lamp was difficult to pack).
