Used Priceline for over 10 years now. Have never had a problem and have always gotten a good deal. I do look at other sites and once in awhile book on them for specific reasons, but Priceline remains...

Double difference guarantee is not true
I had to jump through hoops to get the difference back in the Priceline guarantee (though the guarantee promises double the difference back in express deals)
