Very good when it works! Unfortunately if the camp site has their own web site , their site will take priority for any bookings taken around the same time as pitch up even if booked within a day...

Campsites and holiday parks manage their own allocation on Pitchup.com and are responsible for updating this accordingly should any be sold direct. As your booking was taken earlier, as you state, we will investigate with the park how this double booking occurred. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Pitchup.com We have spoken with the manager of this site and have been informed that they will be contacting you shortly to discuss this issue. We will continue to investigate this matter and will be in touch with an update as soon as possible. We have had confirmation from the manager of this site that they have contacted you to let you know that they will be sending a refund of your deposit to you by post.
