With such high purity, it’s extremely rare for helium-compatible balloons not to float when properly inflated. However, many balloons on the market today are designed for air inflation only and will not float when filled with helium. Unfortunately, the small number balloon in question falls into this category — it is intended for air inflation and will not float with helium. Hello Thank you for getting in touch and sharing your feedback regarding the helium canisters you purchased: We’re sorry to hear that the product didn’t meet your expectations. To clarify: The giant number balloons require significantly more helium than standard latex or 18" foil balloons. On average, each of the small canisters will inflate around 2–3 number or letter balloons, not the 13 suggested for standard-sized balloons. The “up to 13 balloons” guidance refers to 18" foil balloons only, under ideal inflation conditions. We understand this can be frustrating, especially if expectations were based on different balloon types. Thanks for your message. The 11" foil numbers and letters are too small to float with helium—they’re designed for air fill only. Even the 16" size doesn’t float. For floating balloons, you’d need at least 32" foil letters or numbers. Which means you inflated the correct number of balloons from the cylinders.
