I'm pleased that you thought the classroom and workshop training was great but I am sorry to hear that you've got some frustrations with your placement. The company that you have been placed with have successfully helped over 30 trainees build a successful portfolio and pass their exams over the past few years, so it was a surprise to hear your thoughts. We have spoken to your mentor and it appears that your portfolio is complete, he was also very complimentary about your ability. I do understand however that sometimes confidence can take a knock for one reason or another and this may be why you have not turned up for your assessments when they have been booked. You are local to the training centre, I'd like to suggest that you meet with the gas training manager for a face to face meeting, here we will able to identify areas where you may be lacking in confidence or understanding. If necessary, you are welcome to undertake further classroom and workshop training prior to assessment if you feel you would benefit from this. This is offered, as it is for all trainees, at no extra cost and will hopefully bring about a successful resolution. We'll be in touch to try and arrange a meeting if this is acceptable to you.
