Hello. I am so sorry that this was not what you were expecting for your husbands birthday gift. The product that you ordered from us is our pate de fruit glace.

The term pate de fruit glace is indeed a literal translation of fruit jelly or paste - it is not glace fruit or crystallised fruit. The French title that we use for the product is the name given by Doucet in Provence who have been making this product for four generations.

I will contact you directly to try to resolve this to your satisfaction.
