The following is a comment from the manufacturer "The Mobile MD comes with software which does planning on the PC and will sync quite happily with the device. There is no need to buy the upgrade, unless you want to also use the software on an ipad or similar for navigation. If the customer had wanted to do that then they could have bought the software package specifically for that purpose."
