Strange to find for us, the sichuan pepper was harvested in August, we got in November so is the freshest possible, if something happened during postage, we are happy to resolve any problem if there is a problem as we have so few, but to say they are stale is not accurate, hope this helps, any queries please contact us to help, Stay safe, stay well, Steve
