Response on behalf of the owner; We were shocked when we read this and apologise to Francis and her party. In ten years of letting the Cottage this is the only time we have had such negative comments. We immediately took it up with our cleaner and agreed a new protocol and pre-arrival checklist. While every effort is made to provide a clean and comfortable environment for our guests, Bay Tree Cottage was built in 1698 and does not have the clean looking modern lines and surfaces of newer buildings.
