Hi Simon, I so very sorry you had such a disappointing experience in the villa you rented. I've been in contact with the owner who also expressed her apologies. She hasn't been able to visit her property since 2019 due to Covid travel restrictions and family circumstance, and also explained that the management company that looked after her property had obviously been completely uncaring and unprofessional over the last 6 months as they had decided to retire and shut down their business, but only informed her of this shortly before they did. The owner has engaged a new management company who, as quickly as possible, are addressing all of the issues at the villa that you're review has highlighted, and although this is scant consultation for you please know that your feedback has been very useful to the owner and us.

Hi Stephen, Thank you for your kind words about our service during the Covid blighted period that you've had to endure, with repeated cancellations and rebooking of your holiday originally planned for August 2021. We are so very sorry to hear about the state of 128 Canterbury Villa and I passed your feedback on to the Property Management Company who look after this villa. As yet I've not had a satisfactory response, and more importantly been told that the villa has had the necessary repairs, broken furniture replaced, the pool been totally scoured, and generally brought back up to standard. Consequently I will be de-listing the property from our website and will not be making it available to rent through us until I'm satisfied all this remedial action has been carried out. This doesn't obviously help you in any way, but we appreciate the review so we can take the necessary action to make sure our clients get the best experience possible when they book with us.

Hi Nicola, Due to the sale of the home you originally booked pre-covid we had to move your booking in to an alternative villa about six months ago. After 2 years of having very few bookings, and a booming sales market quite a few of our owners have decided to sell their villas. This requires the cancellation of all booking’s post the date of sale. Consequently, we’ve had to move many clients in to other homes for their vacations but always try to let them know we have done so. Unfortunately, we neglected to inform you of this change and for this I sincerely apologise. The rental market is extremely busy, and this has at times been a challenge as rental prices have also increased quite substantially since the lifting of travel restrictions. The only villa available for your dates had 3 bathrooms, but the rental price was more than you were originally quoted. As we knew you had already booked your flights, we decided to absorb that cost ourselves, but am very sorry about the inconvenience caused. Also please be aware that the home you had originally booked was unique in having 5 bedrooms & 5 bathrooms.

Hi David, We're so very sorry that you found this home unsatisfactory. Unfortunately all the villas we offer are privately owned and it's very difficult for us to know when homeowners have not done necessary upgrades to their homes. Due to the pandemic and the loss of two years rentals we are finding that some owners have let things slip and not done necessary revamps as the income from rentals dried up for those two years. Thanks for your feedback and we will make the owner aware of your comments.
