Usually I have no problem with HH bookings and have found staff consistently helpful. However this time I had to phone several times as I had a problem with my initial booking. The calls were answered by a couple of different people who either seemed relatively inexperienced or came across as less helpful than I had expected, particularly as mine was a non-standard query. Once I found (and kept returning to) the right person to speak to my problem was sorted out. She was experienced, very helpful and understood how to deal with me within the company's rules. Having now seen other people's comments perhaps there's a customer / company training issue here?

Thank you very much for your comments, we have 620 properties on our website, with 311 of those offering a Saturday changeover. We find that Friday changovers are popular with those wanting a long weekend, or those who can travel once they have finished at work or school for the day. I am sorry if you found it frustrating though.

Thank you for your comments. I am sorry but I am afraid we do not agree that £50 to move your booking is an unreasonable charge. When you made your booking, you entered into a contract with the home owner, and you agreed to book that property for specified dates. The home owner was under no obligation to release you from that contract, but kindly did so. The process for cancelling a booking is a lengthy one with necessary permissions being sought, calls being made, and letters being sent to both home owner and caretaker. It takes time for our accounts department to administrate the above and to arrange to transfer your fees. Taking all of the above into account, we feel happy that this is a fair and reasonable charge.
