I was given a car that frustrated me a lot where the wheel hub was not secured with the cable that resulted me to be a victim of thugs who even stole them.

We’ve spoken to a representative at Bidvest Car Rental, unfortunately it isn’t Standard Operating Procedures for them to secure hubcabs with cable ties as they found that it wasn’t an effective deterrent against theft.
Bidvest does offer Tyre and Windscreen Waiver which covers damage and theft of tyres, rims and all glass on a vehicle. This waiver can be purchased at the counter upon collection for R18.50 per day.
