Many thanks for your 5 star review. Yes unfortunately in remote areas of Scotland like Glencoe and the Highlands, internet and phone signals are patchy at the best of times. Generally, things are a little better in the larger towns like Fort William, where wifi is freely available but even then, there can be issues. For this reason Old Mill opted against wifi.

The details of the houses were adequate and the response to enquiries helpf

The discovery website and response were good. There was however no one to greet us at the house and show us any specific details and the caretakers were not able to help us later with enquiries and...

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your review. Unfortunately owners/caretakers aren't always able to greet guests on arrival. Some owners don't live locally and some caretakers/key holders look after several properties and aren't able to meet every arrival, especially in a busy period such as August. For this reason it isn't something we advertise as being part and parcel of a confirmed booking.
Discover Scotland are local to Dumfries and Galloway however, and are happy to answer any questions guests might have. We are also familiar with most of the properties in this area and available 7 days a week should guests have any problems.
