Hi D.T., We understand that you are frustrated with the remote being out of stock. We are very frustrated with the situation as well. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of that remote control system went out of business during COVID-19. The only solution is to do a retrofit kit. During the global pandemic, the costs of electronic chips have gone up significantly. In many cases, up to 2000% higher than normal due to shortages. This isn't including the shipping cost increases as well. So, unfortunately, there are increased costs with the retrofit kits. As for not getting back to you via e-mail, we're very sorry about that. We did send out an e-mail blast to many folks, and it looks like the e-mail that we had for you had a typo in it(.com instead of .net). Maybe who you were talking to at ProAm wasn't sure of the situation, but we've let them know what is going on, and they understand with the global economy that there are major issues with parts, shipping delays, etc. Best of luck with your MotoCaddy. About Cart Tek
Our goal at Cart Tek is to bring the best in electric golf trolleys and remote control caddies to the walking golfer marketplace. As avid golfers ourselves, our mission is to match each individual customer to the most appropriate type of motorized golf cart for his or her own needs as well as the demands of the individual golf course. As we all know, golf courses vary in their difficulty in challenging one’s golfing ability, but they also vary in their physical demands on the walking golfer. When we were younger, we preferred to carry our clubs. Later we learned that pulling a two-wheeled cart or pushing a three-wheeler made the walk much easier. These are great devices, but eventually, we get to the point where we need some assistance in climbing the hilly fairways or just getting through a hot humid afternoon on even a relatively flat course. Frankly, even younger men and women should consider motorized golf trolleys to help avoid musculature and skeletal damage caused by uneven pushing and pulling on the manual carts.
