We understand that you are frustrated with the remote being out of stock. We are very frustrated with the situation as well. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of that remote control system went out of business during COVID-19. The only solution is to do a retrofit kit. During the global pandemic, the costs of electronic chips have gone up significantly. In many cases, up to 2000% higher than normal due to shortages. This isn't including the shipping cost increases as well. So, unfortunately, there are increased costs with the retrofit kits.
As for not getting back to you via e-mail, we're very sorry about that. We did send out an e-mail blast to many folks, and it looks like the e-mail that we had for you had a typo in it(.com instead of .net).
Maybe who you were talking to at ProAm wasn't sure of the situation, but we've let them know what is going on, and they understand with the global economy that there are major issues with parts, shipping delays, etc.
