Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re disappointed with the outcome of your claim, we understand how frustrating it is when a claim isn’t approved. Your claim was reviewed in line with the terms of your policy. In this case, the claim couldn’t be accepted for two key reasons: Your bike was unfortunately left unlocked while unattended in a public place. Our policies require bikes to be secured with an approved lock whenever left unattended away from home. This is a core condition of theft cover, and without a lock in place, we’re unable to provide protection. We also found that the bike was being used for food delivery work at the time. The policy specifically excludes commercial use, meaning cover does not apply if the bike is used for courier or delivery services. We appreciate this isn’t the outcome you were hoping for, but we have a responsibility to apply the policy terms fairly and consistently for all customers.
