Aluminum, so not as absolutely perfect as some higher quality metals, but the price! A real steal. It's the best thing going for this classic, very interesting top. It works just as good as any...

What's to say? It shows magnetic lines of force. Very interesting, fun and useful. I suggest getting this large version over the smaller one.

Case was much larger than I expected. Specs will rattle round inside without padding, but the gimmick works perfectly and will be a novel ise breaker at parties.

Great exploitation of a physical curiosity

The problem with this device as a gift is that it comes with a coin already inside, so it's hard for the recipient to understand what it's meant to do,without immediately unstapling the instructions....

Does what it should, but the real gimmick are the two magnetic stripes with differently oriented field patterns ! I caught myself playing with these for quite a while...

Much too easy, but for small kids and that price, maybe worth. Definitely not a challenge for adults.

Stable hovering pen, the only small downside is that the tip is open and touches the acrylic frame, smearing ink on the contact point. Should have a small protecting cup there.
