Delivery was prompt and the driver left it where I asked him to. The bags were half full (I understand that being stacked on each other compressed the soil but I felt short changed somewhat).

Thank you for your feedback. It is perfectly normal to find that the topsoil does not come right to the top of the bag. We intentionally use bags that stretch and sag. Topsoil by its very nature will settle in transit i.e. vibration during distribution will cause the levels to fall as the particles settle together. Bags are also ‘double-stacked’ for storage at our production site so the ‘bottom bags’ can become compressed – the height of these ‘bottom bags’ will be significantly reduced and can cause a bag to look underfilled.
