We’re genuinely sorry to hear how disappointed you feel on receiving the gift. We’d like to gently clarify something that often causes confusion. This is a deciduous tree, which means it naturally sheds its leaves in autumn and remains bare through the winter months as part of its normal seasonal cycle. During this dormant period, it can look very minimal above ground, but the tree itself is healthy and simply resting before bursting back into leaf in spring. The images used on our website show the tree in its full growing season, when it is in leaf. At this time of year it is expected for birch to appear without foliage, which can understandably feel quite different from expectations if you are not familiar with seasonal dormancy. We absolutely understand how this contrast can feel disappointing when receiving it as a gift, particularly when it has been bought for a special occasion, and we’re sorry that it has caused embarrassment for you.
