Thanks for your feedback. The mesh will not tear, it’s extremely strong and designed to withstand clawing and climbing. The mesh is held in the frame using a rubber gasket which is a very tight fit. We have seen images of cats hanging from the screens and the mesh still holding in place however, as you say, you do need to give consideration to this if your cat is heavy.
