Thank you for your feedback, and I’m genuinely sorry to read this, especially after you’ve been buying from us for 5 years or more.
I do completely understand your concern, particularly as you add water to the food to help your dog eat it more safely. However, I do want to reassure you again that the recipe and ingredients have not been changed. The base diet is the same as it has always been.
We sell this diet regularly every week and haven’t had other customers reporting the same issue, so from what we can see, this does not appear to be a wider batch or recipe problem. That said, because we use natural ingredients, there can sometimes be small variations in texture from bag to bag. When water is added, this can sometimes affect how the food softens or binds together.
I’m sorry you feel the product has been changed to reduce quality, but I can honestly say that is not the case. We would never knowingly reduce the quality of a proven product or change a diet without being open about it.
We really do value your custom over the years, and I’m sorry this latest bag has not worked as well for your dog’s routine. Thank you again for taking the time to leave your feedback.
came fast as always and left as I instructed. Thanks for your reply, I have to add a small amount of warm water to soften because he doesn't chew properly which without he can vomit, the new bag goes...

To answer your question directly: No, we have not changed the recipe or the ingredients. Because we use natural ingredients, you may occasionally notice slight variations in texture or colour between different batches. While we strive for consistency, these minor differences can happen during production, but they aren't a result of a formula change.
I will personally investigate this for you. We keep detailed batch records for everything produced on-site, so I will go back and compare the records from your specific batch against previous ones to ensure everything is within our standard specifications.
I actually feed this exact diet to my own dogs, and I haven't noticed any differences in the food or their reaction to it lately. We take the quality of our range very seriously, so please rest assured that your dog is still getting the same high-standard nutrition.
We really appreciate you keeping such a close eye on your dog's food! I'll be in touch if my investigation turns up anything unusual.

The new bag goes slimy sticky with a bit of water whereas previous bags just went soft.

What you’re describing can sometimes happen with grain-free diets like ours, particularly because we use sweet potato as the main carbohydrate source. Natural variation in the raw ingredients and the cooking process can affect how the kibble absorbs water, so some batches may go softer, while others can feel slightly more sticky when soaked.
That said, it shouldn’t be overly slimy or unusual, so I do want to take a proper look into this for you. If you’re able to send me the batch number from the back of the bag, I can trace it and check everything against our production records.
Just to reassure you, there haven’t been any changes to the recipe or ingredients, and the nutritional profile remains the same.
