I've been looking forward to going to Sicily for a long time, I chose, what I thought was the best option as it was expensive enough. Sicily was awesome, you have a gem in Yasser and Alexandross the lovely driver but unfortunately some aspects of the holiday fell short for me. I've travelled the world and lived in Singapore and Saudi Arabia, for all my life I've experienced the best hotels and indeed service. I expected that from Riviera Travel but did not feel that some standards had missed the mark for me.

Booking was easy with good communication and information afterwards. Riviera staff on board were efficient and friendly. Staff copied patiently with guests who had poor mobility.

We are so pleased to hear that you had a very enjoyable cruise with us. It's wonderful to know that you found the cruise to be well organised, and that you appreciated the lovely places you visited, the efficient and friendly cruise director, and the well-informed guides and skillful drivers. We are also delighted that the food was plentiful and varied, and the drinks flowed generously.

A comment we heard more than once from fellow travellers was that a group dinner on first and last night would have helped it feel more cohesive. Some felt it was a little impersonal without an organised get together. We agree that would have added a fifth star to our overall review

We are so pleased to hear that you found the boat stylish, the cabins comfortable, and enjoyed the itinerary with its scenic beauty, delicious food, and swimming stops. Booking the trip was good but then the chsnge of itineries and cancellation of various trips was a shame as well as not sailing into Switzerland as promised.
Only negative was the positioning of the ship, relative to coaches for some excursions.
And the driver returning us to Lyon airport was unable to help with luggage as he could barely walk. We were...

We appreciate your observations regarding the Cruise Director. Our Cruise Directors work across a variety of ships and itineraries and possess extensive experience in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our river cruises. Whilst they are highly capable across our wider programme, it is natural that some directors may have developed greater familiarity with particular itineraries through repeated experience.
We always endeavour to assign Cruise Directors to sailings with which they are most familiar; however, there are occasions when unforeseen circumstances, such as illness or other operational requirements, require alternative arrangements to be made at short notice. In these situations, another experienced Cruise Director will step in to ensure that guests continue to receive the support, guidance, and service expected throughout their holiday.
Nevertheless, we are sorry if you felt that aspects of the commentary or destination knowledge did not fully meet your expectations, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
