Thank you so much for your feedback; we are sorry to hear that your stay at Nyth Bran was not a 5 star one, and that the decor was not to your taste. We have had lots of positive feedback from guests at Nyth Bran about the decor, so we are so sorry this was not the case in this instance.
With regards to the facilities, the owners have had a brand new washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and oven installed within the last few years, but would love to hear from you in regards to what other updates can be made here so they can look into this right away, as they are always looking to make Nyth Bran as special a location as possible.
Unfortunately, when you visited Nyth Bran there were still a number of restrictions and advice set out by the Welsh Government in line with their COVID policies, and so the owners of all our properties were advised not to include a number of items that would usually be available to guests, including some soft furnishings and welcome hampers including tea, milk etc within the property. The owners were, however, still able to leave some wine for your stay, and do hope that you enjoyed this! Now that these restrictions have been lifted, the owner has been delighted to be able to include the full welcome pack once again.
As for the general maintenance of the property, this will often need to happen and although Nyth Bran's dedicated caretaker checks the cottage on a weekly basis, sometimes there are unexpected and sudden issues that occur, such as the issue you found with the door. The owner of the property did a 400-mile round trip to ensure the door was fixed and your safety was put first, and has assured us that all the doors in the property have been checked for safety and security. Nonetheless, we are sorry for any inconvenience this issue with the door may have caused during your stay. As with the door repair, if the owners were made aware of the problem with the bulb, they would have, of course, ensured this was resolved right away for you.
We have spoken with the owners about all the points you have raised here, and they have taken all of this feedback on board.
