Good barrier cream but dogs being dogs they tend to lick it off. It does help the healing process.

This product worked really well with the manuka honey

Stays on my ponies pink nose to protect it from the sun well and reapply daily, he does not mind this one and stands for it to be applied also used on the backs of his hoofs which is also pink
