Oliver Jaques opened its doors in 1993 originally positioned in a commercial unit in the ever-popular Baltic Quay development in Sweden Gate. Starting out as a predominantly new homes site and taking advantage of the vast residential developments springing up across the Surrey Docks and rapid regeneration of Rotherhithe and surrounding areas, Oliver Jaques quickly needed additional room to expand and soon occupied its current double fronted prominent office location at 229-231 Lower Road.
In 2000 and hot on the heels of the success in South-East London, Oliver Jaques took the opportunity to open an office in the heart of the East End of London, in Bow, at the site of the once famous Bryant and May match factory built in 1861. Redeveloped in the 1980’s as part of East London’s first urban renewal project, it is now a thriving gated community of over 700 apartments and cottages named The Bow Quarter.
27 years on, Oliver Jaques remains at the forefront of property as one of the leading independent names in the industry, fully immersed in the local community.
