The Sheen flame gun is the most effective weedkiller you can buy. This flamegun destroys weeds with a searing 2000 degrees Farenheit blast which when directed at the base of weeds stops the plants sap rising. Leaving the weeds to dry for a few days, a second gunning incinerates all top growth and weed seeds, leaving a potash rich residue.

* Usage Tip from Sheen: The fuel tank is best filled to two thirds full, and this will then run for 45 minutes continuously on full power.

The X500 comes complete with the Gun, Hood and Trolley. The trolley is very useful when used over prolonged periods - it gives effortless weed control on even large areas. The hinged hood helps to deflect more heat to the target and confine the flame for inter row weeding between growing crops.

Q. What is the difference between the Sheen X300 and the X500?
A. The difference is.... they are the same, except the X500 comes complete with the Trolley and Hood accessories. The actual burner unit is the same.

Q. Can I use Kerosene in the Sheen X300 / X500? 
A. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, Kerosene and Paraffin is the same thing. "Kerosene, also spelled kerosine, also called paraffin or paraffin oil, flammable hydrocarbon liquid commonly used as a fuel". From Autumn 2016 Sheen also print on the side of the unit that Kerosene can be used.

Please note: This is a utilitarian product, made in an old fashioned factory and the paint finish can be rustic. We do not warrant against blemishes or marks on the paintwork - the factory make a good product that works well, but occasionaly marks are present in the paint - it's been like that for 50 years and we can't change this. The Sheen X500 however is very practical and superb and doing what it is meant for - killing weeds.
