Thank you for your message. The edges will crumble if you have no edging in place. As with all gravels, an edging of some description is required to prevent lateral movement. This material required compaction with a whacker plate or vibrating roller and cannot just be laid loose and expected to go firm on its own. Our team are always happy to assist with queries about laying the material.
