Rinse thoroughly and leave to drain upside down. Hand wash only (cap is top rack dishwasher safe). Use a bottle brush to thoroughly clean the bottle especially after juices and smoothies. Soak with baking powder/vinegar to get rid of any smells that may develop.  304 or 18/8 grade stainless steel is inert and does not retain flavours or smells. If you have already given it a good scrub with a bottle brush and warm soapy water try mixing a quarter to a cup of vinegar and 4 tablespoons of baking soda in warm water and let it soak overnight.
